11 days at the Edge
by Michael Wombacher
512 pages paperback, 2 illustrations
In 11 Days at the Edge the author joins spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen -- a self-described idealist with revolutionary inclinations -- in an exploration of an emerging new spiritual paradigm. In this paradigm the traditional revelation of enlightenment is explored in the context of the evolving universe with truly mind-expanding results.
Cohen, once a teacher of "personal enlightenment," now teaches enlightenment as a collective emergence -- the emergence of a higher we -- which he sees as the ground for the emergence of a new culture of enlightened values. Here we find that place where our spiritual longing intersects with our care for the world, empowering both to levels neither could attain alone. Uncompromising in his call for human transformation, Cohen is presented as an radical spiritual figure -- unyielding in his demand for integrity -- whose liberated consciousness and ruthless deconstruction of the cultural and spiritual status quo have kept everyone talking.

Ten Spiritual Lessons I Learned at the Mall by James F Twyman
Publisher: Findhorn Press
127 pages Paperback
* If you were told that you are already enlightened, would you believe it?
* If you were told that enlightenment is as easy as doing your weekly shopping, what would you say?
* If you were told that the person serving your cappuccino is your spiritual teacher, would you just laugh?
Most of us have been taught that we must enter a spiritual path in order to 'become enlightened'. The idea is that if we work at it hard enough, attend dozens of seminars on spiritual topics, read enough books, etc, then someday, in this lifetime or the next, we will be struck by a cosmic lightning bolt, and in a sudden flash of insight will achieve full enlightenment.
Consider the possibility that we have been sold a myth, the 'myth of enlightenment'... In fact, we can find enlightenment anywhere, at any time, even in that most commercial and stressful place, the Shopping Mall.
What if enlightenment is something you can pick up with your groceries, or doing your Christmas shopping? What if the person serving you behind the jewellery counter is as much your teacher as the leader of your latest workshop? What if it's all as simple as keeping your eyes and ears open while you live your daily life, doing all those mundane chores you dislike so much? This could change your attitude in every moment, making all that you do much more fun and interesting.
In Ten Spiritual Lessons I learned at the Mall, James Twyman takes a humorous and insightful journey through a place where few would ever go to attain enlightenment. He discovers that we can find ourselves anywhere, even in a place where we would rather not be... especially in such a place. You will be with him as he spends five days at a mall in Toronto, acting as if he was on a retreat in a monastery or an ashram, asking the big questions and finding some amazingly simple answers. This book will change the way you experience your ordinary environment.
James F. Twyman, also known as the Peace Troubadour, is an internationally renowned author and musician who travels the world performing Peace Concerts in some of the areas of greatest violence and discord. His ministry is to help bring peace and harmony to all people through music and the growing number of his books.

Astroshamanism 1
This is the first of two volumes aimed at providing a brief introduction to the principles and practices of astroshamanism. The intent of this work is to stimulate the awareness, the exploration, the acknowledgment and the retrieval of one’s inner potential.
The term astroshamanism identifies a spiritual system of healing aimed at expanding human perception through the integration of the basic principles of shamanism with experiential astrology, the revival of archaic mystery traditions and their application to contemporary western culture. Its present form is the result of researches developed since 1976, thanks to the contribution of shamans and teachers of various cultures and dimensions.
As its structure is based on the circle, what is not immediately understandable will be clarified as the readers proceed with their experiences. This text is aimed at supporting the spiritual path of each individual, not at becoming a substitute of that path. The present volume introduces some of the theoretical aspects and practical tools on which astroshamanism is based. First it considers astrology and its relationship with shamanism. Then it provides details about the Sacred Circle, the concepts of Intent and Function, a series of astroshamanic basic practices and rituals, the astroshamanic voyage, the Spirit Guide, the Totem Spirits, the Spirit Medicines and Sacred Tools, and further shamanic techniques.
"The principles of A Course in Miracles® underlie those of astroshamanism, which integrates shamanism, experiential astrology, the archaic mystery traditions and ACIM®. [...] Forgiveness is the major function of astroshamanism in letting go of limited identification and expanding the scope of awareness. For those interested in these seemingly diverse disciplines this, possibly the first-ever integration of its kind, is a 'must read'" MIRACLE WORKER, Magazine of the Uk Miracle Network,
"[...] As an astrologer you are either at home with chants and rituals and inner guides or you are not. This book certainly gives plenty of information about how to get safely on to this path and there is a wealth of material here, to be continued in the second part of the book.. " THE ASTROLOGICAL JOURNAL, London
"This is an excellent must read book that we would highly recommend, not only for those on their own shamanic journey through life, but also for anyone on a spiritual path of self discovery. An interesting and helpful read from start to finish full of no nonsense, practical facts and good advice." www.SPIRITLINCS.com

The Science of Oneness: A Worldview for the Twenty-First
The Science of Oneness: A Worldview for the Twenty-First Century
Author: Malcolm Hollick 447 pages
Publisher: O-Books, Winchester
CONTENT: This major work outlines the philosophy and methods of a new Science of Oneness, and takes a fresh look at the findings of modern science. Weaving together the insights of science, spiritual traditions and diverse cultures, it balances openness to all sources of knowledge with critical evaluation of their reliability. Each Part offers activities, guided meditations, and thought-provoking questions and quotations to stimulate intuitive as well as intellectual understanding.
The Science of Oneness presents a scientifically valid vision of reality that is conscious, creative, loving, and purposeful. It provides a coherent world view for cultural creatives, the holism movement, and everyone searching for meaning in our fragmented world. And it challenges us all to help guide the evolution of humanity and the Earth in positive directions.
AUTHOR: After a long academic career spanning many disciplines, Malcolm Hollick left the University of Western Australia in 1997 to join the Findhorn Community in Scotland. He was foundation Principal of Findhorn Foundation College, and is currently a member of the Steering Group for the University for Spirit Forum in the UK.
Endorsements and reviews:
A comprehensive and multi-faceted guide to the emerging world view. Malcolm Hollick brilliantly guides the reader intellectually and intuitively through the varied terrains of the sciences, psychology, philosophy and religion and builds up a vibrant picture that amounts to a new vision of reality for the 21st century. A veritable tour de force. David Lorimer, Programme Director, Scientific and Medical Network
This is a landmark book. It succeeds in carrying out a careful, grounded and thoroughly accessible critique of science, of an immense scope, while at the same time carrying its readers forward in their intuitive and spiritual knowing, through a series of reflective practices. Not stopping there, in its final chapters it builds a powerful vision of a future spirituality which can worthily complement the scientific way of knowing. By presenting the current ferment of spiritual and scientific thought, organising it into a coherent scheme and making it comprehensible to the general reader, Malcolm Hollick makes a unique and vital contribution to the current pivotal epoch in human development. Chris Clarke, Visiting Professor in Applied Mathematics, Southampton University, UK
An extremely impressive survey of recent scientific advances, clearly written, and accessible for the layperson. Informative, wide-ranging and very readable, and should appeal to those who have a scientific background, as well as those who are interested in spirituality, yet find modern scientific writing daunting. George Chryssides, Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies, University of Wolverhampton
Malcolm Hollick's The Science of Oneness is a wonderful book. It is a comprehensive study of the nature and limitations of our science and how it can help us connect with the sacred reality of Spirit underlying all manifestation. Providing a sound theoretical basis, the author also gives practical steps for an inner and outer journey. Enjoyable reading. Highly recommended. Ravi Ravindra, author of Science and the Sacred, Professor Emeritus at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia
"The Science of Oneness is an enjoyable journey through the challenges of frontier science as we confront the mysteries of a cosmos far more extensive, grand, mystical and conscious than previously realized." Edgar Mitchell, Sc.D, astronaut
This clearly written and accessible book is a breathtaking review of science from physics and cosmology to the functioning of the brain. Woven throughout is an equally broad appreciation of diverse forms of spiritual wisdom, both ancient and modern. This feast for the intellect is supplemented by carefully structured exercises, questions, and inspiring quotations that guide the reader into an inner realization of the unity that glows in every page of the book. I recommend it to those seeking wholeness and purpose in our seemly fragmented world. Vic Mansfield, Professor of physics and astronomy, Colgate University, and author of Head and Heart: A Personal Exploration of Science and the Sacred.
This hits the nail on the head. We need a worldview that is integrated and shows that we are all parts of a greater whole -- and that this view has its foundations in science, and is not mere speculation. I hope this will find the broad readership it deserves -- and that we all deserve if enough people are to understand and embrace the holistic worldview to make a real difference in our crisis-racked and dangerous unsustainable world. Ervin Lazslo, Founder and President of the Club of Budapest, Visiting Professor at Stuttgart University
This is a fine and impressive book. Fine because Dr Hollick presents us with a cogent summary across a broad range of fields in science and probes a number of leading edges; he writes as one who is thoroughly familiar with his subject matter. Impressive because he directs our attention towards a viable science of oneness and shows us how a scientist can sustain the rigour of academic training and use it to good effect in examining spirituality, emotional literacy and experiential learning. As you might imagine from the broad canvas, this book will challenge you. But it is well written and Dr Hollick takes care to find ways to illustrate the areas he covers with analogies that help the lay reader’s grasp of the topic. The Science of Oneness also offers us a fresh approach to combining rational analysis with relating the material to one’s own subjective experience and understanding. I thoroughly recommend it. Joycelin Dawes, Co-Author and Editor of The Quest
The Science of Oneness is an invitation to a participatory, intimate relationship with all others and with the natural world itself. Unless a oneness with the Earth is realized, we may not be capable of mustering either the wisdom or the desire required to insure our future as a species. Malcolm Hollick's vision is the right medicine, at the right time, for the right reasons. This compelling book should be widely read. Larry Dossey MD, author of The Extraordinary Healing Power of Ordinary Things
This passionate and intelligent book shows how today's science and spirituality can merge to create an integrated worldview. Visionary and practical, Malcolm Hollick inspires us to a new understanding and fuller engagement with the healing of our society and planet. Passionate and intelligent. Visionary and practical. Warmly recommended. William Bloom, author of Soulution; A Holistic Manifesto
With The Science of Oneness Malcolm Hollick takes us on an exciting and informative journey though the universe from moment of the Big Bang to the mysteries of human consciousness, from quantum entanglement to chaos and self-organization, from the nature of time to the evolution of life, and from ways of knowing to the mysteries of our own existence. A very rewarding journey. David Peat, Pari Center for New Learning
Amongst an ever-increasing flood of books building bridges between science and spirituality, this book stands out through its fundamentally different approach. Malcolm Hollick does not rest with science and spirituality as already given and fixed. Instead, he proceeds to construct a new world view that is rooted in an inner conviction of the oneness of the world, working with both scientific and spiritual material but treating both in the spirit of science-of a quest for truth marked by openness and humility within a public dialogue. In this way he progressively extends the boundaries of understanding beyond science to achieve, in the words of his title, "a science of oneness" rather than a conjunction of science and spirituality as they are now. This results in a survey of enormous scope. He sets out in considerable breadth successive sections on systems theory, relativity, quantum physics, cosmology, mind, life and consciousness studies. He goes well beyond conventional exposition by including in each sectino inspirational readings and seeds for meditation that enable readers to develo ptheir own intuitive understanding of our world. This, and the use of a consistently accessible non-technical language, gives the book an impressive pedagogic strength.
This book is the beginning of something new. With its extension to the fundamental insights of spiritual traditions and its unity of approach, we are moving from Universe and Human stories to the start of a Cosmic story. Greenspirit
We are in a revolutionary time, when the best minds around the globe are being opened to a universal wave of spiritual understanding, and it is a time when many are particularly cognizant of the inadequacies of the prevalent ‘religion’ of scientific materialism which, having reached its zenith, is giving way to its antithesis. It is a ‘paradigm shift’ that is taking place at this time in the world; and there are a very few exceptional minds, with a wealth of knowledge about the present state of the many facets of science, and an equally reflective overview of the ‘spiritual’ perspective, who are capable of presenting as informed and impassioned an outline of the elements and ramifications of this present paradigm shift as is Malcolm Hollick. His book, The Science of Oneness, is filled with extraordinary information, both scientific and philosophical; and he leads the reader cautiously and gently toward the possibility of a spiritual worldview that takes into consideration the accumulated wisdom of the current molders of our modern culture as well as of the great seers of antiquity. He is not himself a seer, and he doesn’t pretend to be; but he is an articulate proponent of the great paradigm shift, and an excellent teacher and guide on the explorative journey toward a thoughtful and informed understanding of both the scientific and the spiritual perspectives. I found it a wonderful read, and I highly recommend it. -- S. Abhayananda
