Zantedeschia
The Arum or Calla lilies are handsome plants, grown principally for their showy flowering spathes, and include varieties suited to both garden and greenhouse. The hardy varieties look effective grown near water and can be used as marginal aquatic plants as long as they are not subjected to prolonged freezing. They also perform well grown in large pots. More tender varieties make excellent subjects for growing in pots in the greenhouse or conservatory and can be used outdoors in the warmer months. Zantedeschias enjoy a cool root run in moist , humus-rich soil, in sun or partial shade.
The varieties offered here are not fully hardy and should be over-wintered frost-free.
