Healthy Regimes (click photo to launch Catalogue)
Why do Japanese women never get fat? There is no rocket science secret behind the fact that Japanese women live the longest (85.5 years old on average in 2006) and look the youngest (my mother was once considered a thirty something when she entered her early 60s, but she is not an exception). The answer is simple: healthy and balanced diet as everyday practice.
A Japanese table typically consists of a bowl of steamed rice and miso soup served with a variety of fish, meat and vegetable dishes, Appreciating the variety makes Japanese people naturally source their nuturition including wide range of proteins, vitamins, minerals every day. Even a light meal such as noodle in soup comes with a combination of protein and vegetable topping, reflecting the balanced diet principle.
In addition, Japanese diet help you reduce excess intake of fat and calory. Even fat and carb-up dishes comprises the element of the diverse variety of the Japanese table, but the portions are smallish.
Why? Because where the variety fulfills your appetite, you don't need an excess quantity of food to feel stuffed. This natural optimisation is a result of your body maintaining the inborn sence of balanced diet.
Amongst many ingredients, some of which are not easily found except in a Japanese food shop, we have have picked up the food items which are not only pleasant to your taste buds but also well known for their health benefits. In Healthy Regimes section you will find, for example, Saki Dried Natto Beans (already popular in japan but available for the first time in the UK), Zero Calory Shirataki Noodle, and Seaweed Salad. Most products are easy to use, and can come with free recipes (you can simply request them upon purchase). Please refer to the individual product description for detail.
No matter what you choose to do, the key is to watch what you eat and try to keep the right balance.
